Distinguished Stakeholders,
Well-wishers & the Beneficiaries of United Trust,
Assalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullah
Alhamdulillah, by the Grace of Almighty Allah, United Group, one of the best known business conglomerates of the country, has grown to a reasonable size over a period of last almost four decades. So to say, this growth was marked with uncompromising quality, ethical practices as well as moral values. Over the years, as many as 30 companies, small and big, have been added to the honor list of United Group.
With the growth of the Group, our responsibility towards our society was also proportionately growing. As Muslims, we must not forget what have been made obligatory on us in holy Quran and Hadit. Allah says: “O you who believe! Spend of the good things which you have (legally) earned, and of that which I have produced from the earth for you, and do not aim at that which is bad to spend from it [Al-Baqarah 2:267]. Al Hadit says: “Believe in Allah and His Messenger, and spend of that whereof He has made you trustees. And such of you as believe and spend (in Allaah’s way), theirs will be a great reward” [al-Hadeed 57:7].
From that conviction, by the grace of Allah, we formed ‘United Trust’, our social welfare wing, in 2010. Now, it gracefully stepped into its 8th year. I am happy to see that it has substantially increased its portfolio and diversified its social development works in the area of rural education, health and sanitation, interest free micro credit program, interest free loan for marginal farmers, old age allowance, vocational training etc. United Group plans to devote reasonably good percentage of its annual profit for this purpose to enable the Trust to make a difference in our rural society in days to come.
It is good to see that, in 2017, it has appreciably grown to extent that demands extension and capacity building of almost all its institutions to meet the growing needs. From the Board of Trustee’s side, we are glad to see the promising growth and happy to increase the trust budget to support its requirements. I convey my heartiest congratulation to the members of the Board of Trustee, Executives and Staffs of United Trust for their selfless dedication.
I also convey my special felicitation to Trust officials for launching their official Website. With this, its activity information crossed its local threshold and stepped into national and international arena. It is indeed a special event. May Allah bestow His peace and blessings upon us all. Ameen.

United Trust
We assist in capacity building of any person, institution, establishment or community that contribute to improving the quality of people’s life.
In Education Sector, Trust aims to promote the standard of rural education through capacity building. It helps “potential rural schools and madrashas” in making up critical deficiencies of their basic needs.
UT has also decided to dedicate its efforts to capacity building of the Zela Health complex of the govt. The 1st test case in hand is the Melandah Upozela Health Complex.
Through this service, UT has introduced an “Interest-Free Loan” for rural women, marginal businessmen, and farmers. As of December 2016, over 5000 families are the direct beneficiaries of this scheme.
Under Social Development sector, UT aims to address the immediate needs of the people. At the moment, we are providing approximately 40-50 homes, 25 Tube-wells, 600-800 semi-pucca toilets per year free of cost to the rural destitute families.
United Trust has envisioned introducing ICT training into the rural areas to improve their skills to fit themselves into the outsourcing or freelancing global marketplaces.
At the moment after discussion, the 2nd major cause of death in our country is road accidents. Quite naturally UT decided to get involved in combating this menace alongside the organization already involved in it.
United trust has been engaged in different welfare-related activities. Over the period, the operation of the trust has spread over some untouched segments of social welfare.
In the Education Sector, at the moment, we closely patronize about 37 educational institutions that include Colleges, High Schools, Schools, Hafizkhanas, and Orphanages.
